Accept yourself, let go of the rest

Happy Friday!
Today was one of those fun and rare practices where it felt like another vibration came in and taught the class. Although I am always intuitively guided, today I was along for the ride! Typically, I have to tune in and listen to the inner guidance, feel the energy in the room as well as the collective consciousness, consider the levels of the students, and create a flow that feels fluid and coincides with the teachings of the day. On a day like today, I was given the passenger seat and told “relax, we will take the lead!” Have you ever experienced that? When something completely takes over and it’s as if you are witnessing yourself in action? It’s a demonstration of trust in yourself that has been cultivated over time with each moment you chose to believe in yourself and remember who you truly are.
That’s what this month is about: trusting intuition, accepting who you are and what is, cleansing what no longer serves and taking action! I talked on Monday about being mindful with what information you allow in and what vibration you are aligning with in each moment of your day. We often become dependent on outside sources. For example, I wanted to validate some information that came through for the full moon but my usual resources where unavailable. As I researched other avenues I stumbled across several sources that I threw out. I didn’t question my decision or wonder why, I simple knew it wasn’t what I wanted to align with at the time. Instead I chose a resource that reinforced what I downloaded and that I found enhancing and enlightening which I shared with you all. I do my best to align with what resonates, what feels high vibe, what is real and truthful even if challenging, while finding the silver lining or positive edge and sparks of potential. You have the choice each day with how you process and grow in each moment and those choices create your life. The quote below ties into this.
To review: Monday was a full moon in Aquarius, helping to illuminate our truth and promote freedom in thought and action. Uranus rules Aquarius and is the great awakener creating unexpected circumstances or events to help us shake off what no longer aligns. Uranus also ties in with kundalini energy…unlocking creative potential, higher consciousness, intuitiveness and life purpose. You may be finding it easier to let go these days and you may be speaking your truth more clearly and confidently as well as receiving others truths more receptively and compassionately. Now it’s time to take actions forward! If you have been thinking about changes, this month supports you both in clarity and in action. Maybe your action is planting seeds which will bear fruit next year. Maybe your actions are more related to change presently. Trust your inner guidance.
Before you run off into the sunset, it’s important to move forward from a grounded space of clarity. If you feel “untethered” then ground into your body by walking in nature, dancing, or gardening. Tune in to how you feel and how your body changes to circumstances or people. On the other hand, if you tend to be more in the physical, in your body, then meditate and take time to slow down and be alone to tune inward.  Allow your mind to quiet so that you can move into less dense frequencies to receive inner wisdom and guidance.
Today’s practice certainly represented “as above, so below.” Not only did we fly through the cosmos and connect to our etheric being, but we also pulled down to earth and into the deepest depths of our bodies and souls. We fluctuated between these two extremes in practice today: flying high and grounding down. We were on our feet for a lot of the practice strengthening our legs and earthing our feet. We kept things moving to build heat and encourage the cleansing energy of this month. We also opened our shoulders and our necks awakening our heart and throat chakras to trust our intuition and hear our truth. This, of course, is rooted in self-love, self-acceptance and trust. Happy Lions Gate Portal everyone, remember to roar! Namaste!
Today’s Closing Inspiration:
“The whole game of inner peace basically comes down to this:
It’s not external events that make us happy or unhappy. It’s the story we tell ourselves about what those events mean.
This idea has been expressed in various ways throughout history:
Buddha: “Our life is the creation of our mind.”
Marcus Aurelius: “The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.”
William Shakespeare: “There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.”
Eckhart Tolle: “The cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.”
When something affects us positively, the story we tell ourselves is that reality is matching our preferences or expectations.
When something affects us negatively, the story we tell ourselves is that reality is not matching our preferences or expectations.
In other words, most of our negative emotions arise from the belief that things should be a certain way when they are not.
The problem is, when we make our inner peace dependent on outer circumstances, we give control of emotions to other people and events.
But why should we expect life to conform to our particular preferences? It was here long before we existed and will be here long after we are gone. Things just happen, they are not personal.
Instead of imposing our expectations into reality, what if we let them go altogether?
This is the practice of acceptance.
Acceptance doesn’t mean complacency or resignation. It means being willing to interact with reality as it is, rather than feeling stressed out because things are not how you want them to be.
When you act from a place of acceptance, you work with the flow of life. When you act from a place of resistance, you fight against it.”
As Carl Jung said, “We cannot change anything until we accept it.”
